More good stuff from Marcus (of BlogBack fame), who is redoing his PHP Blogger API script (Digiblog) to ping weblogs.com. I wonder if I can talk him out of the source: an open source PHP API client that you could install on your own server would be really handy for things like writing an image uploader that generates popup or inline image html like Movable Type, or even just for adding a link button that gives you an input field for title and target as well as the href.
[Sadly, it isn't working right yet, since it published this post, but messed up the links and pinged weblogs unsuccessfully. Of course, the current name of the script is test.php, not thisisthefinalversion.php.]

Apparently the January 2002 issue of of Smart Computing has/will have a big article on Blogger. Blogger's Technical Support Department is quaking in its boots.
